College Friends Reunion

It's funny how so little time can change a lot of things. Recently I had a reunion with my college friends. It has been 4 years since I graduated, though I still feel like a newly grad. It's nice to catch up on things with old friends, but it's also sad to see how much they have changed and to realize that you weren't there during the ride. A lot of people make work their excuse, in reality, they are just plain lazy or just want to do other things. Admittedly, I use work as an excuse all the time when I don't feel like meeting with friends. Because honestly, as we grow old, our priorities change, and we have to pick the friends that we want to be with until we grow old... quality is better than quantity.

I Thought that these Things only Happened in Movies

What will you do if you catch your friend kissing or making out with another guy who's not her boyfriend?

I was caught in that predicament around 2 months ago, but it's just now that I decided to blog this really awkward situation.

2 months ago, my friend threw a birthday party for her brother. Since, the attendance was going to be low, my friend asked me to go to their house and "celebrate", we can't let all that food go to waste, can we? During the middle of the party, wine, vodka and scotch started popping up...and we all know that alcohol is not just as good without some activity right?

Enter poker! It really takes a long time to play poker. And by 1 am, I can't make it anymore. I didn't really drink that much alcohol but I'm down either way. I crashed in my friend's bedroom while all the others are still enjoying the party.

At around 5am, I heard a noise, it was my friend and a guy who liked her. My friend's boyfriend is still downstairs probably bragging about this and that (he brags about everything). I was about to go back to sleep when I heard strange sounds inside the room, you know, the exaggerated kissing sounds you hear during the movies. What the heck, I thought that these things only happen in movies? While all of this was happening, I even heard the guy worry that they might wake me up... (don't worry, even if I were awake, I would pretend to be asleep). By that time, I was already very nervous about being found out. It would be very awkward if they found out that I was awake. Should I tell them to just pretend that I was still sleeping?

I felt like Boy Abunda, stumbling upon some juicy news, except that I can't tell this to anyone. So, I kept my mouth shut and pretended to be asleep.

I was quite shocked when this happened but I guess that life's full of surprises.
