Make Mine Granola

Because of the impending weddings of my cousin, aunt and my friend, I decided to lose a little weight in order to fit in the nice dresses that I either bought or borrowed from my sister. The hardest part about dieting is staying away from chocolates. Fortunately, I rediscovered granola bars. I stopped eating granola bars when I was 14 or 15 because I would always get tonsilitis after eating it (hehehe and I dont get sick if I eat chocolates). Now, I've returned to eating granola bars again but I have to drink a lot of water after eating a bar... I eat an average of 2 bars a day and I am happy to say that eating granola bars kept my mind off eating chocolates. It helps that I eat the chocolate chip flavor and while it's not entirely fat free, it's a lot less fattening than chocolates!!! So until all the weddings are finished, make mine GRANOLA!

Eunice's Wedding

The day was not so hot and it wasn't raining either. Perfect day for a wedding. Perhaps the weather was one of the few good things about this wedding! Eunice couldn't have picked a better day.

The bride sported a new hairdo, which I think wasn't a very good idea. During your wedding day, you should've been done with experimenting because your wedding pictures will stay with
you forever. How good...(or how bad) you looked will be locked away in those pictures FOREVER! While, her new hairdo was not a total disaster, it wasn't really nice either. I like the old way she wore her hair better.

The wedding ceremony was pure torture. I was having a hard time keeping still on my seat because sleep was setting in. The whole ceremony was conducted in Fookien Chinese so I only understood bits and pieces of it. The pastor must have been suffering from Alzheimer's because he stated his 2nd point 4 times. And the way he delivered his sermon, he's more fitting to be a member of the Debate Society... The choir, on the other hand, sounded like they were having a really bad day. The first song was okay... the songs that followed were really bad. Why, they sounded like they were singing for a funeral rather than for a wedding.

That's not important though, what's important is that the bride and groom enjoyed their wedding.

The food was okay! It was calories galore again for me that night. But it was worth it. Unlike other wedding receptions which has long programs, Nice's wedding reception was simple... and that's how I like it.

I asked her how her wedding night was and I received no response. Hehehe that's Eunice for you, ever the conservative!
